The Wellington type is characterized by its clean and neat impression. This is a new standard model of pine, which has a matte texture with no polishing process on purpose to create a unique look. The temple end design expresses the detail of pine’s iconic hinge screws. In order to prevent the glasses from slipping off when worn, the temple ends are made voluminous to balance the weight of the glasses, a design that combines design and function. The bridge and the end-pieces expresse a sense of three-dimensionality by further attaching (geta-bari) on the front fabric and cutting it. This is an extremely time-consuming process and work that requires the skills of a craftsman. The nose pads and temples are made of titanium.
